Color Palette

Okay, so everyone knows I am no designer. I will definitely not be offended when you guys gently steer me away from the truly tacky. I think the main color will be midnight blue, but we are having trouble nailing down other colors we might want. Here are a couple of palettes let me know what you think.

(Blue, Cream and Gold)

(Blue, Cream and brown)

(Blue, butter and maple)

(Blue, cream and green)

(Blue, cream and silver)

(Blue, wheat and brown)

(Blue, silver and orange)-this would be a very deep orange and used in very small amounts

Okay, keep in mind that Steve's first wedding colors were sea foam and something else and that we'll be getting married in October, so we need to find a palette that will mesh well with the floral available.

  3. Hey sweetie!! FUN choices! Aric and I just discussed your options. Our favorite you have listed is the blue, cream, and silver. I also think these colors would look great with the candlelight ceremony you mentioned.

Our two least favorites are: the one with orange (Aric said it looked like the Denver Broncos) and the one with green (ie, midnight blue and green are such strong individual colors, not sure they complement each other nicely).

Can't wait to see what other people think!!!

  4. Yup, Aric's definitely has a point, and let's face it, I probably have enough orange in my life.

  5. I like the blue, silver, and cream palette best. Its elegant and sophisticated. The green and blue palette reminds me of Health Mart.....ahhhhh! So I would stay away from that one. 2nd choice for me would be the blue, silver and orange (sparingly).

  6. Okay I think it is going to be blue, silver, and cream. But I think there needs to be some colorful accent to brighten things up a little

  7. Blue, silver and cream sound like a good base. Why use only one accent? Think of a bouquet predominately blue and white, with a sprinkling of tiny purple, yellow, rose, etc. dots. It sounds busy, but used sparingly--why not create a tapestry?
